G.L.A.M! Girls-Love-Alpha-Males

Glamorous Rock thru' the decades

Andy Thomas: Lead & Rhythm Guitars, Backing Vocal.

Influences : Def Leppard, AC/DC, Judas Priest and many more ranging from the 60's to the present day

Andy started playing at the tender age of 13 and hasn't put his guitar down since!  Like most great guitarists, he is self taught so has developed his own style and his own way of producing sounds!

At 20, Andy joined a band called "Going Nowhere Fast"! Unfortunately the band lived up to its name and after its demise Andy formed a band called "Tyrant" (the name taken from a Judas Priest song!) with his brothers; Matthew on vocals and Mark on drums.

Andy then moved to Scunthorpe and joined a band called "Back to Back" which featured an excellent vocalist called Stuart Taylor, now of "White Lines". After 4 years Andy and Stuart went on to become part of the first incarnation of "Zero Damage" with our good friend Mark Cockerill. Although Stuart didn't stay with ZD, Andy and Mark went on to develop ZD into the twin guitar driving force of the local music scene in Scunthorpe.

Andy and Trey first met through a mutual aquaintance and became friends watching and supporting each others bands. Often guesting at each others gigs, the opportunity for Trey to join ZD arose and was happily accepted.

Andy was also involved with Jim Peters' C.R.A.P. project (Classic Rock and Pop for those who thought it just wasn't very good!). Jim was also drafted into ZD for a time but in July 07 both Jim and Trey left to persue different projects that ended up culminating in G.L.A.M! After searching for and auditioning a number of musicians Andy was invited into the fold followed by John from ZD & CRAP and have now formed, what promises to be, an entertaining and glamorous project aimed at the club curcuit!

Andy is married to the delightful and lovely Donna, who has supported him at almost every gig played over the past 10 years! Without her help and continued support he could not have continued putting in the effort and and commitment required of a busy gigging musician!
