G.L.A.M! Girls-Love-Alpha-Males

Glamorous Rock thru' the decades

Jet Throwtool: Bass Guitar, 2nd & Backing Vocals

Influences: John Entwhistle (The Who), Jack Bruce (Cream) and
Bruce Foxton (The Jam)

Jet started playing guitar at the tender age of 11 having been inspired by his cousin's band PAGE ONE. Having played in his bedroom for a couple of years, he joined a band called BUSTER in the early 70s playing chart music so in essence a Glam Rock band!

After playing in a number of bands over the next few years, he decided to put together a show band called QUARTZ. This group played the clubs up and down the country performing chart music including punk, rock and disco.
He teamed up with a guitarist called Mick Laybourn and formed the LAYTON BROS DUO playing all over the UK.
After a break for a year he then started INCOGNITO playing with some fantastic musicians. This band disbanded in late 1989.
Jet then went abroad for a few years as a soloist and in his return to the UK joined a band called BLAME THE SINGER playing rock music with a comedy edge before going solo again doing a stage show MEATLOAF / GARY MOORE.
He followed this with work in duos and depping work before joining the Glam Rock band THE GLAMNED playing guitar and singing before leaving in 2007.
After a couple of years depping he decided that the time had come to again join a Glam Rock band so when the opportunity to join G.L.A.M! came along he jumped at the chance to hit the stage again in full costume playing the music he loves!
Jet is also a highly skilled luthier and has made guitars for some established named musicians. Contact details for Jet's guitar business will be posted soon along with a link to photos of his guitars.
